Schouw & Co. becomes new majority owner of Spectre A/S

supporting the company's next phase of growth

Spectre A/S welcomes new ownership as Schouw & Co. enters as majority owner, acquiring 75% of the company. After five years, Dansk Ejerkapital is divesting its stake, while brothers Jesper Klausen and Jacob Klausen are reducing their ownership to 25%

Spectre produces high-end functional outdoor and sportswear for global premium brands. Over the past nearly six years, the company has tripled its revenue, from approximately DKK 300 million to just under DKK 1 billion in 2025/2026, despite the headwinds of COVID and various geopolitical challenges. This change in ownership marks the beginning of a new chapter in the same positive direction, establishing a strong foundation for continued development and growth.

With Schouw & Co., Spectre gains a strong and experienced partner with a proven track record of developing internationally oriented, growth-driven manufacturing companies. Schouw & Co. brings strategic expertise, global perspective, and deep knowledge of how to drive growth and create value in manufacturing businesses with global ambitions.

Jacob Klausen, Chief Commercial Officer, and Jesper Klausen, Chief Business Development Officer, both with more than 25 years at Spectre, will continue in their current roles and as co-owners, ensuring vital continuity and institutional knowledge that will be of great value in the company’s future development.

“With Schouw & Co., we gain a truly strong partner with significant experience in developing international manufacturing businesses. This gives us an even stronger platform to realize our growth ambitions and strengthen our market position. We are very optimistic about the future and the opportunities this change in ownership creates for Spectre as a company, and for our customers and employees.”

Lars Christensen, CEO, Spectre

“We see Schouw & Co. as exactly the right match for Spectre. As a company with deep family ownership roots, it has been paramount for us to find a new partner who not only sees the same growth potential as we do, but who also thinks and acts with a long-term perspective and shares the values on which this company was built. A central part of that is the ability to continue creating real value for our customers, something which is at the core of our concept and the foundation of the position we have built in the industry. I am confident we have found that in Schouw & Co.”

Jacob Klausen, Chief Commercial Officer, Spectre

“Our collaboration with Schouw & Co. throughout this process has been genuinely positive and constructive — from the very beginning we felt we were speaking the same language. That gives us the best possible foundation for the future collaboration in the ownership group and in the Board of Directors. For us, it has been important to find a partner who brings both an understanding of manufacturing, focus on responsible business and the ambition to develop the company further, organizationally as well as technologically, so we can continue to be among the leaders in the industry. Jacob and I are pleased to remain as co-owners and look forward to continuing to contribute actively to the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of Spectre.”

Jesper Klausen, Chief Business Development Officer, Spectre
