Sustainability

Impacts and responsibility

Every business has impacts on workers, communities, environment and consumers. It is our responsibility to work to mitigate our negative impacts and bring benefits where possible so that we are sure that the world is better off with than without what we do.

Therefore, we strive to be as responsible as possible and improve our environmental performance year by year to contribute to the overall movement towards reaching UN Sustainable Development Goals.

One of our fundamental values is to be responsible as a company and as individuals. Therefore our CSR philosophy is embedded in our business model for creating value and goes beyond implementing CSR because of compliance and statutory requirements.

CSR aids our mission and serves as a guide to what Spectre represents for our customers, employees, and other stakeholders regarding environmental and social responsibility.

Our CSR strategy is based on four key elements
– the “cornerstones”:

CSR Report | 2022-23

Inspiring change through resonsibilty

Our CSR initiatives have always been at the heart of our operations, reflecting our dedication to corporate citizenship and sustainable development, and the annual CSR Report is a testament to our collective efforts, highlighting the progress we have made in achieving our social, environmental, and governance goals.

United Nations Global Compact

Since 2010 we have been members of UN Global Compact.

The UN Global Compact movement is based on 10 principles within human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption. These principles are fully embedded in our CSR-strategy and on day-to-day business. These principles are fully aligned with our priorities in each of the four corner stones of CSR – People, Planet, Anti-corruption, Reporting. We annually submit our Communication on Progress (CoP) report.

UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Within the UN Global Compact, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were formulated under the guiding principle: “Making Global Goals Local Business”.

From the total list of 17 goals

we have selected four specific SDGs which we are going to target and that are closely linked to our overall CSR-strategy:
Our CSR strategy also addresses challenges related to other SDGs such as #5 Gender Equality and #7 Affordable and Clean Energy.

As a small player in the global value chain

we cannot lift the burden alone.

Our ambition is to remain at the forefront in terms of social responsibility and to lift a disproportionate share of the responsibility in relation to our size. However, to create results we need to keep strengthening the cooperation across the value chain that we are all part of, thus we need true partnership thinking to succeed in the long run.

Spectre’s philanthropic activities are aimed at supporting local communities, promoting equal opportunities, counteracting climate change, pollution and promoting biodiversity
